FEATURE NEWS:
New wet drawing line for carbon wire
The TB4M model from Wire Welding Machineries (WWM) and BEMA (both part of the Mario Frigerio Group) is the latest complete line for the production of Mig CO2 wires.
The new line is equipped with a vertical axis decoiler with an accumulator which WWM says ensures smooth despooling and, overall, the company is confident of higher productivity and better quality CO wire: “We have the line working smoothly at speeds of up to 25m per second.”
The pickling bath before the coppering stage helps to ensure quality in that
process in the technical characteristics
of the wire.
Then the skinpass – with a rotating die
and independent motorisation – also
works towards a good finish on the wire. Finally the new pail packing machine
with a balanced flyer works at an average speed of 20m per second to precision coil the wire into the drum.
WWM asserts: “The precision of this machine allows it to keep pace with
the drawing machine and obviates
the necessity of a spooler and decoiler. This in turn helps to reduce the production cost.”
