Drawing with a twist

Officine Meccaniche di Lesmo (OML) - Eurodraw Energy, established in 1962, has the unique advantage of being involved in both the cable industry and steel wire rope manufacturing.

OML - Eurodraw Energy’s engineering department, has Computervision CAD stations and uses highly advanced software.

The company says: “Both static and dynamic structural calculations are performed by the computer and use finite element software. There are also 3D CAD workstations usingProEngineer software. For every machine produced, we keep an archive in which each unit is marked by a serial number that can be used to trace all the drawings for each component and each machine part. The archive, which now contains over 200,000 drawings, is always available for consultation and is very important in spare part management.”
