FEATURE NEWS:
Boron-free from Traxit
Traxit International continuously strives for better performance and to remain at
the forefront of the latest technological advances for wire drawing lubricants.
The company says: “We continuously look at ways to reduce lubricant consumption, create less dust and increase the efficiency of the drawing machine while at the same time extending die life and reducing any environmental impacts.”
Recent developments include a Boron-free lubricant carrier. “These are becoming more and more important due to tightening discharge regulations throughout the world,” says Traxit. “Our ZEL 500 and ZEL 540 are already being used successfully on stainless and carbon
steel wires.”
For the reduction of residuals and fumes
in induction stress relief furnaces (single wire) and reduction of dust during stranding for PC wire, Traxit recommends its MB 60, a low dust, high fat calcium lubricant.
“For high performance at high speeds,” says Traxit, “try SL 505 and SL 606 to
meet the ever more demanding standards set by the fastest of the new machines. Additionally our DCU machines and our DCC product range represent an important innovation in the area of dry coating.”
