Profitable welding solutions from PWM

Cold pressure welding offers wire and cable manufacturers a fast, easy, and cost-effective method of bonding non-ferrous wire and strip without heat, fluxes or fillers. No set-up time is required and the bond created is stronger than the parent material.

British company Pressure Welding Machines designs and manufactures machines for a wide variety of applications, from hand-held, manually operated welders for fine wire and strip, to large electro/pneumatic and electro/hydraulic powered rod welders with capacities of up to 30mm diameter. All PWM welders are low maintenance and require virtually no training to operate.

PWM’s latest model, the HP100, has a welding capacity of 1.00mm to 5.00mm on copper/aluminium and is equipped with a solid steel welding head for added strength and stability. The welding head can be portable, enabling welding to take place where space is very limited, at a strander lay plate for example, or inside a spooler casing. Powered by an air/hydraulic intensifier, the HP100 is simple to operate.

For welding fine wire, PWM produces a range of hand-held, manual cold welders with capacities of 0.08mm to 1.80mm.

Comfortable to hold and simple to use, these compact machines are ideal for welding in confined spaces.

Bench mounted machines include the BM10 Superfine, BM10 and BM30, with welding capacities of between 0.08mm and 1.80mm.

Other popular models include the pneumatic P101 and the M101, a versatile bench machine that can also be supplied trolley-mounted.

At the top of the range, the EP500 and P1500 rod welders are powerful, heavy-duty machines capable of welding copper to 25mm and aluminium to 30mm, quickly and economically.
