| Zwick GmbH & Co KG, Germany, has launched its model ZHV1, designed for micro-Vickers hardness tests. This manual hardness tester is available in two different versions, depending on the load range for 10 to 1,000g or for 25 to 2,000g.
Easy-to-operate, the model ZHV1 features a motorised turret for the selection of indentors and objectives, an automatic test sequence, a motorised load change assembly, as well as a variable dwell time. The device also provides a very accurate resolution of 0,1�m, making this hardness tester a convincing product suitable for a wide range of applications. With the RS232 connection to the company�s test software testXpert�, the model ZHV1 provides evaluation, documentation and data transfer to quality assurance systems for further processing. Another option is the CCD camera system, which also allows a manual/automatic measurement of the indentations via testXpert�.
