| Tension is one of the most important manufacturing and production considerations when producing wires and cables for suspension and construction cables. This supporting strength member must be highly tensioned during the extrusion process in order to eliminate the inherently high �memory/cast� of the introduced supporting high-tensile rope or strand. Failure to do this correctly can result in variable quality finished cables: for example, the extruded cable can and will retain this unwanted, added memory and can result in a �wavy/snaky� appearance to the finished cable. This memory is now further locked into the finished cable by the extrudate and may result in unwanted and unnecessary installation difficulties.
