Non-Metallic Fibre Cables for ADSS Applications
IPT (Innovative Pultrusions Technologie) GmbH, Austria, specialises in the production of fibre reinforced plastic profiles with outer diameters ranging from 0.5 up to 8.0mm and used as strain relief elements in optical fibre cables. These profiles can also be coated with different materials such as swelling glue, EAA, etc. The companys main product is "Top Cable", a new generation of non-metallic optical fibre cable. This cable features a one length variety which suits all applications and locations such as aerial (ADSS - All Dielectric Self Support), duct, direct-burial and sub-sea. The structure of this cable includes a central loose tube, or twisted loose tube strands with one central FRP strength member. "Top Cable" is also rodent and termite resistant.
