| Dong Fang Electrotechnical Machinery (Dofama) Co. Ltd, PR China, designer and manufacturer of equipment for the wire and cable industry, offers a new high-speed rod breakdown machine which is mainly dedicated to the production of alloy aluminium wires. The machine, type LHD-450/13, is a 13-die slip type drawing machine designed to draw silicon-based aluminium alloy rod ranging from 9.5 or 12mm to 2.3 - 4.5mm �. The machine features 13 capstans, each having a diameter of 450mm, and placed in straight line and in a continuous order.
Its own 55kW DC motor drives the finished capstan and offers a quick die change (QDC) which saves time. It also features a dual-spooler of 500 - 630mm � for continuous production. A 350kW DC motor is fitted with and controlled by a Siemens digital drive which has a continuous length display. It is highly praised for easy operation, high-efficiency and excellent product quality.
