| Founded in 1979, Comapac Srl, Italy, specialises in the design and manufacture of complete lines and machines for the ferrous wire drawing industry. The company's product range includes multi-wire drawing lines, consisting either of straight-line wire drawing machines with vertical capstans and speed control by dancer arm, or straight-line wire drawing machines with vertical inclined capstans and speed control by control sensor. Comapac also supplies dry multi-draft wire drawing lines for low, medium and high-carbon steel wires as well as stainless steel wires; wet wire drawing lines for thin wires.
Among the company's portfolio, are the dry wire drawing machines, TRN - TPN series, which feature no accumulation or torsion. They are provided with vertical drawing capstans whose speed is controlled by dancers. The drawing capstans, made of pearlitic iron casting, are induction hardened on the drawing band and may also have a ceramic coating. The use of DC motors with variable speeds or AC motors with frequency converters allows to choose the most suitable drawing speeds for the characteristics of the material to be drawn as well as to achieve the optimal efficiency level of the plant. The TRN - TPN series can also be supplied with integrated computerised supervision and process control systems for detecting and checking the drawing parameters.
Furthermore, Comapac�s portfolio includes cold-rolling lines for the production of ribbed wire for reinforced concrete and electro-welded meshes; complete plants for the production of copper-coated welding wire; vertical bull blocks with 1 or 2 drafts; horizontal bull blocks; horizontal and vertical spoolers; horizontal and vertical coilers; static and rotating pay-offs; wire pointing machines, as well as auxiliary equipment.
