The company today operates with Draka Holding NV, Netherlands, and specialises in the manufacture and sale of optical fibre and cable products for the telecommunication industry. Since 1992, the company has also successfully undergone numerous expansions in both optical fibres and cables. To manufacture fibre preform core rods, the Chinese company applies the Plasma Activated Chemical Vapour (PCVD) process that provides the best inner tube deposition process for making fibres. The PCVD process has many advantages, including accurate control of the reflective index at the core, high-flexibility, high-deposition efficiency, which means efficient utilisation of raw materials and less industrial wastes. Synthetic quartz tubes, made by outside tube deposition process, are used as cladding material. YOFC produces various types of optical multimode and single-mode fibres, including G652, G653, G655 �POSH� as well as G655 �LAPOSH� large effective area, etc.
