| In the production of electric motors, individual processing steps such as stamping and annealing lead to changes in the electromagnetic properties of the material used. In particular, stators made up of packaged electrical steel are subject to these changes in quality. The German company Dr. Brockhaus Metechnik GmbH has recently developed "Stator tester C 510", a new system that enables non-destructive inspection of the stators prior to winding.
Independent of its size, the stator can be inserted into the instrument and tested according to the pre-set parameters in a 2 second software-controlled measuring process. For 100% inspection it is easy to integrate the fully automatic stator measuring station into the production line; however it can also be set-up as a manually operated testing station.
