| R/D Tech Inc., Canada, has recently introduced a new family of NDT test instruments, the OmniScan� that is designed to meet the most demanding inspection requirements in a wide range of industries such as aerospace, petrochemical, balance of plant, manufacturing, component testing, and service inspection labs. The OmniScan is the company�s newest product offering portability, battery-operation, and modular flaw detector capabilities. The first test module introduced on the market was the ultrasonic phased array module. The phased array technique allows for the generation of ultrasonic beams with the capability of dynamically setting the beam parameters, such as angle and focal distance, as well as creating an electronic movement along the probe.
