| The physical characteristic of enamelled wire has always been of relevant importance for the achievement of a top quality product. With this in mind, the Italian company Rigon Instruments specialises in the design and the manufacture of a wide range of enamelled wire-testing equipment for computerised or manually operated use. Since the field of application of enamelled wire has been extended, making enamelled wire requirements higher than those prescribed by most international standard regulations, it is necessary to control the quality of the product with in-line high-voltage tester, that also allows improvement of the productivity while detecting any default during production. Rigon Instruments' portfolio includes, besides basic control devices, a whole range of flexible laboratory enamelled wire testing equipment designed to meet every kind of test requirement according to the most stringent international standards.
Of particular interest are the company's latest systems: the Tangent Delta system model TD11 and the new thermal cut through tester model TP-PC. The model TP-PC tests magnet wire according to all international standards, perform tests at higher test voltage and levels than required by the standard. It also determines the right softening temperature.
The Tangent Delta model TD11 is a compact instrument that automatically determines the tangent delta temperature in a wide range of diameters from 0.05 to 5.50mm , as well as strips up to 27.5 x 5.0mm, according to most international regulations. The main features of the TD11 are fast test time, tan delta resolution of 0.0001, comparison mode of 5 curves, go no-go test, filter to search measures done. A further feature is the fast test block cooling system which automatically cools down the test block at the end of the test; without any intervention from the operator. An implemented data base allows comparison with different curves.
