| In order to meet the demands of the power and telecom cable manufacturers, the American company Tulsa Power LLC continues to develop its portfolio of portal-style take-ups and pay-offs. The company has recently introduced its series of GTU/GPO models, gantry take-ups and pay-offs that offer a number of innovative features for greater reliability and ease-of-use. All units are provided with PLC and AC flux vector drives. The drive and control systems offer optimum performance and reliability. The traversing take-ups feature a touch-screen operator interface that allows the operator to input material diameter, reel widths, traverse dwell times, tensions and speeds. As an example is the company�s model GTU-20A portal take-up, which can handle reels ranging from 914 up to 2,440mm �. This model has been used extensively in cable processing and rewind lines.
In addition, Tulsa Power offers a full line of take-ups, pay-offs, accumulators, respoolers and reel handling equipment designed to handle reels of up to 25,000kg and 3,810mm �, down to spools of 2.3kg and 102mm �.
