Conoptica AS
Conoptica is adding 3–5-axis quality control technology to its product range and further expanding its automatic feeding technology. Conoptica’s technology represents the high end of 2D and 3D optical control.
It covers a wide range of applications
with dimensional and geometrical measure-ments of shaped and round drawing dies, enamelling dies, wires, rods, bars, tubes, plugs, needles, and many other precision tools and products. The applications are from single and multiple 2D inspections to top-of-the-line automated 3D production and quality control. These systems automatically measure key geometrical parameters of dies such as: diameter, ovality, bearing length, reduction angle, meeting point parameters, and so on.
This level of automation has been brought to a complete cycle, where automatic feeding and sorting have replaced the manual feeding, and where tool or products are automatically: fed to Conoptica’s production and quality control systems; controlled for the geometrical parameters of interest; documented by saving of SPC data; marked with data; sorted to one of approximately 100 output positions.
In combination with any of the electro-optical frames CU4, CU5, or CU10 the automatic die feeding and sorting (ADFS) can automatically feed, mark, and sort drawing dies.
