Teijin Twaron is an international company that supplies customers throughout the world with para-aramid polymer, yarn, fibre, and pulp under the trade name Twaron, and Technora for its para-aramid co-polymer yarn, fibre and spun yarn.

Teijin Twaron is looking forward to a 20% increase in its production capacity in May and at wire 2006 will be actively promoting its para-aramid fibre Twaron for the protection of optical fibres in cables. This latest expansion will bring the total capacity up to approximately 23,000 tonnes.

Twaron para-aramid fibre is used worldwide for the reinforcement of all kinds of cables to protect the optical fibre against mechanical forces, chemical attacks (and even water, in the case of the water-blocking version).
