Institute of Spring Technology
Membership of the Institute of Spring Technology (IST) is available to companies in the spring industry worldwide.
In Düsseldorf IST staff will be on hand to explain the benefits of membership aided by video displays, new publicity information and live demonstrations of fatigue and load test machines, design software and Finite Element Analysis.
New Disc and Spiral Spring modules for the already successful IST version 7 spring design software will be unveiled to extend the existing range. A new Design Optimization module has been developed for parallel-sided round wire compression springs.
This Optimization module enables a designer to specify ranges for various spring design criteria such as space envelope, operating characteristics, weight, natural frequency, and select the target feature to be maximised or minimised.
The latest enhanced version of IST’s established Load Tester software will also be available for demonstration.
In addition to the highly respected range of precision load testers IST is launching its new computer controlled entry level Load Tester – developed to provide a budget test machine that maintains high accuracy.
Other services delivered by IST include raw material, load and fatigue testing, failure analysis, consultancy, spring design, shot peening and peening consumable sales.
Training courses in all aspects of spring technology are also offered at the institute or on location anywhere in the world.
