JSC “Severstal-Metiz”
Severstal-Metiz is Russia’s largest manu-
facturer of steel wire, wire products and other cold drawn material, with facilities based in Cherepovets, Orel and Volgograd.
The company’s annual sales figure is more than €475m, with 54% of wire and wire products exported from Russia being manufactured at its mills. Its wide range of products includes cold drawn steel, steel shapes, low carbon wire (bright, annealed, galvanised, fibre-making and barbed), welding wire (powder cored, bright and copper-coated), alloy wire, medium and high carbon wire, wire ropes, netting, gabions, nails, fasteners, electrodes, fibre, chains and steel bands.
The company started working with European partners in 1992, so it has a good base to continue upgrading its product quality to meet European requirements.
