I.LE.S will be promoting its hot pressing plant with liquid cooling.
The plant is made up as follows: continuous electric furnace with forced air circulation and conveyor belt feed. Inside the furnace’s body there is a ceramic fibres insulation, in several layers at differentiated density, to reduce heat loss to a minimum thus increasing the machine’s output.
Heating is performed by armoured wire elements, calculated at a low superficial load in order to allow a long duration, which can be easily pulled out.
The armour-plating protects the heating elements against the gas released during the treatment.
On the inside, on low friction supports, is the conveyor belt with cross-ties and spring-holder pegs made of heat-proof alloy, driven by the drawing device placed outside the furnace. The belt’s movement is assured by an A/C motor combined with a reducer; bit by bit feeding can be adjusted either on speed or frequency, through the PLC panel on the electric booth. Temperature homogenising is achieved by centrifugal ventilators, driven by electric motors.
Next to the heating furnace, there is a solid structure supporting the pressing device, composed of cross-ties and pressing bells. The bells are at a useful height allowing the bundle-pressing of the springs and a sprayer of the cooling liquid. The structure contacting the cooling liquid is entirely made of stainless steel.
A PLC will superintend the following operations: conveyor belt feeding, pressing-bell descending, bundle-pressing with the possibility to adjust the times, springs cooling by watery solutions with the possibility to adjust the times, returning to the rest-position and so on. The cooling system is of closed circuit type. The liquid recycling takes place through an electric-pump with by-pass, to dose the quantity of cooling liquid to send to the pressing-bells; the cooling of the liquid takes place through heat-exchanger with forced air.
